Festool( previously known as Festo or Festo Tooltechnic) has been around since 1925 and is based in Wendlingen, near Stuttgart, Germany.
95 % of all Festool power tools are made in Neidlingen, 15 km away from the head office, while our dust extractors are produced in a factory in Illertissen, about 1 hour drive away in Bavaria. With subsidiaries in over 20 countries and more than 1.400 staff, the
company is well positioned with strong roots in the German market but an ever increasing international business. Festool is renowned for their innovation as well as quality of their products. While most German Power Tool Brands are now producing either 100 % or the majority of their products in Asia, Festool has ensured ongoing competitiveness in the market by investing heavily in efficient production processes and in innovation of its products. While the results can be seen in the products on offer, the production systems have won the company various prizes, including Germany's Factory of the Year in 2002, 2005, 2008 and 2011 a very prestigious award in the competitive German manufacturing environment.
