Spotted in Lausanne, Switzerland, a Wiesmann GT MF 5. Rare beast as there were only 55 built before the company went belly up in 2014. It has a top speed of 310 km/h and does the sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It is powered by a V10 engine with 507 HP and 520 Nm torque and it sounds great.

New luxury cars are mobile computers and the car companies are taking full advantage of their captive consumers, according to the ACCC. It says the repair and servicing sector was worth a combined $24.8 billion in 2016-17 and dealers have an average 64 per cent profit margin on new cars they service.

I’m a simple guy. I get joy from loud noises and moving quickly. That’s why I love the Jaguar F-Type SVR. This super sportscar does both things soooooo well that I’m happy to admit I’m as shallow as a puddle after a sun shower. I used any excuse to drive the SVR.
