Leon is a regular Procycles Hornsby customer and a long-term GS Safari rider. Having done more than 8 GS Safaris and even more GS Tours, nobody is going to tell Leon about the pros and cons of the current adventure bike choices. Nicholas was visiting us here at Procycles Yamaha Sydney, shopping the market for his next bike. He initially settled for the Yamaha R9 but slowly figured out he could get just as much value from the R7, and he really didn’t do the sort of riding where he would use the extra power. So Nic decided on the 2026 Yamaha YZF-R7, a lightweight Supersport that delivers an ideal balance of exhilarating performance, agile handling, and everyday usability.

Powered by Yamaha’s proven 689 cc CP2 parallel-twin engine, Nic still gets strong, torque-rich acceleration and a smooth power delivery. John presented a very tough wish list to our BMW Brent at Procycles Hornsby. He was looking for the perfect motorcycle. A comfortable commuter, the world’s most capable adventurer, an all-day tourer and an exhilarating sports bike.

Together they came up with the perfect solution. The BMW R1300 GS Trophy. This top-tier adventure bike is built for rugged off-road performance, but it also ticks all the other boxes. In Trophy trim its off-road ready whilst retaining BMW's signature touring capabilities.

Powered by a 1,300cc Boxer twin engine with BMW ShiftCam technology for a smooth 145 hp, 149 Nm torque power delivery. It features a stiffened sheet-metal frame, black cross-spoke wheels, and the Racing Blue Metallic colorway.

The electronics package is amazing with Pro riding modes and Dynamic Traction Control. The suspension has an EVO-Telelever front and EVO-Paralever rear. And specific to the Trophy variant, John gets the Comfort Package Passenger Kit, Electronically Adjustable Windscreen and Main Stand. Luis obviously enjoys his life and here he is picking up a brand new S1000RR Sport, from Procycles BMW Sydney.

Unlike its hardcore track rivals, this incredible litre-class superbike is highly capable on the street. And the S1000RR is known for it’s comfortable, less-cramped ergonomic layout for riders of various heights, plus sophisticated suspension components that absorb road bumps surprisingly well.

At it’s heart is a 999cc, four-cylinder engine featuring ShiftCam technology that produces 210 hp at 13,750 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. The bike features top-tier tech and electronics making the ride both safer and customizable. Standard features include Riding Modes Pro (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro), Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Brake Control, and Hill Start Control. All settings are easily managed via the clear 6.5-inch TFT screen.

The Sport trim includes a sharp 58-degree quick-action throttle and a slick-shifting gearbox. This combination yields incredible acceleration, pushing the bike from 0 to 100 km/h in roughly 3.2 seconds. For many years Nic loved riding around on his BMW S1000 R. When it came time for an update, Nic came into Procycles BMW Hornsby and spoke to our man BMW Brent. They discussed keeping the same fun and power of the inline four, but maybe improving on touring comfort and capacity, with the ability to carry more luggage. Together they settled on BMW’s S1000 XR, fitted with a genuine BMW Pannier Pack. The ultimate combination of long-distance capability and high-performance in a sportbike.

The BMW S1000 XR’s inline-four 999cc engine delivers the blistering 170 hp performance of the S1000 RR with 114 Nm of torque resulting in a massive mid-range with an exhilarating top-end rush. All of that with the upright, all-day comfort of an adventure-tourer. Plus, semi-active suspension, cornering ABS, and a 6.5-inch TFT dash. It’s built for riders who want sportbike agility without the aggressive crouch. Ergonomics that provide an upright, commanding riding position with excellent wind protection from the adjustable screen. The standard electronics package includes Riding Modes Pro, Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless up/downshifts, and Dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment. Benny is an enduro rider from way back with lots of great memories from when he used to rip through the bush. After a while off the bikes, now Benny is keen to get his mojo back.

David has always been a sports bike guy, but a little while ago he thought he might like to set his sights on a lot more long-distance touring, so he sold his BMW S1000 RR and bought himself an exceptional BMW R1300 RS, which some say was the best variant of the 1300, with the Boxer engine that churned out 145 hp and 149 Nm of tractor-like torque.

However, David missed his S1000 RR and it’s effortless 154 kW [210 hp] rush, delivered by BMW’s 999 cc ShiftCam inline-four engine, a 58-degree quick-action throttle, and advanced Rider Modes Pro as standard. David also missed the RR’s highly customizable electronics suite that keeps everything on the ground and the razor-sharp handling and composed stability at high speeds, thanks to the aerodynamic winglets.

At Procycles BMW Hornsby, David chose the Sport variant in Black Storm Metallic, as it adds the Dynamic Package of Dynamic Damping Control, Heated Grips and Cruise Control. David now has two awesome bikes in his garage! Always a pleasure!

Shane has had his eyes set on the BMW GS Adventure for quite a while. He was initially looking at the previous model R1250 GSA, but then the new generation R1300 GS was released and he was glad he waited. Finally, he scored himself the best of the best. Shane’s new BMW R1300 GS Adventure Triple Black has it all.

It’s the biggest touring enduro that BMW make and it’s equipped with all the BMW Motorrad tech. The features include a commanding 30-litre fuel tank, a 145 hp Boxer engine, Auto Shift Assist, and Adaptive Vehicle Height Control which automatically lowers the motorcycle at a standstill to make it highly manageable for riders.

It also comes with the Enduro Pro package, Matrix LED lights, full integral ABS, Heated grips, Cruise control, and an electronically Adjustable screen. The Triple Black variant can also be customized with several add-ons, including Cross-spoke wheels, Sport suspension, and the Active Cruise Control radar system which automatically maintains a user-selected speed and safe following distance behind vehicles ahead. It smoothly accelerates or applies automated braking to match the flowing traffic.

The Triple Black variant has exclusive trim aesthetics like a Blacked-out styling package with a dark windshield and tinted wind deflectors.

Duane was looking for a bike he could ride to work that also had the capability to get off the beaten track. He was planning an outback trip, but he didn’t know just how serious, until he looked a lot closer at the BMW F800 GS Sport and realised he could broaden his horizons. This thing could go anywhere. It ticked all the boxes.

The 2026 BMW F800 GS Sport is an adventure-touring motorcycle featuring a powerful 895cc parallel-twin engine (87 hp, 91 Nm). The guys at Procycles BMW Hornsby showed him all the upgrades that came with choosing the Sport variant, including premium features for touring and everyday capability.
