Does your Horn work in your 60 Series?
The horn in my ‘84 HJ60 had recently stopped working, and while there are other causes, replacing this pin / plate was high on the list.
I tested the horns, which worked fine with direct power, and then set about swapping this pin / plate.
It’s a little fiddly, and you have to remove your steering wheel, steering column cover and combination switch.
As you can see, the original pin was well worn, and no longer contacting the ring on the steering wheel (in this case the steering boss kit).
All fixed and now working as it should
