A row of 70 Series wagons wearing Urnieta bull bars and forged wheels, and the factory front end gives you nothing to mount lights or a winch to. The bull bar bolts to the factory points and takes a winch behind it, and the forged wheels sit under all three shapes here, the 71, 76 and 78.

This 76 wears a Urnieta bull bar with a pair of round driving lights sitting in it, side steps tucked under the sills and a black panel over the rear quarter glass for mounting gear.

A new drivetrain era. The same bolt-on 70.

The Urnieta bull bar carries the winch and the light bar up front, so the recovery gear on this 76 sits behind one clean face instead of bolted on afterwards. Round the back the rear ladder and the swing-out tyre carrier take the spare off the roof and put it where you can reach it. Matte black over the desert paint.

This 78 Series carries the Urnieta roof console overhead, and it changes what the ceiling does for you. Aircraft-style switch panel, twin speakers up top, a head unit tucked in flush, and side racks that hang shirts or hold your iPad where the factory gave you nothing.

The 70 Series has run solid axles front and rear since 1984.

This silver 76 runs a black bull bar, a loaded roof rack and the spare up on a rear carrier, with side steps along the sills and black wheels under it.

Same axles underneath, but everything above them changed.

Toyota built the last 4.5 litre V8 70 Series in September 2024, after seventeen years.

This white 78 runs a Urnieta bull bar, side bars under both doors, forged wheels and a roof console carrying the radio and two device mounts, plus a rear ladder.

The model's finished, but the builds aren't.

With the SALADO front bumper on a white Jimny, the nose suddenly reads a lot wider than the one it left the dealer with.

Look past it and there's a rack across the roof, side steps down the flanks, matte black wheels under the guards and a Urnieta tip out the back, which is a lot of build on a small footprint.

A row of 70 Series wagons wearing Urnieta bull bars up front, the wide winged bars with twin driving lights and the hoops standing proud, high in the grass country with a horse resting alongside.
