💥 WTAC didn’t go quite to plan this year… we charged into T1 feeling like heroes… only to plough straight off like rookies 🤦‍♂️. The splitter is now “weight reduction” and given to the carbon fibre gods and a few parts of the Z are enjoying an unplanned sabbatical 😂.

But hey, that’s racing – hopefully we can work work out on getting a budget, for a comeback at WTAC 2026 with a nastier setup and hopefully, a slightly more polished driver 😜

Massive love to the legends who made this year possible:

Big thanks to the entire team and our extended family at that we shared the garage with for making this weekend such an amazing experience! 🏁💪 The energy in the garage was unreal, and it wouldn’t have been the same without everyone’s hard work and good vibes. Couldn’t ask for a better crew to share the track with! 😂🔥 it’s 2 to 1 Hopefully I can change that next year

From countless late nights leading up to the event to keeping the car dialed in all weekend, the Oliva Automotive put in everything to make sure the Z was ready to perform.

When it comes to service, precision and mechanical excellence, these guys set the standard.

🔍 Key Issues & Progress
• Main Goals: Dial in traction control, fix a trigger sensor fault, fine-tune suspension and tyre setup.
• Trigger Fault: Caused hard ignition cuts, making traction control tuning challenging and unsettling the car
• Traction Control: Predictable but overly aggressive at low speeds; progressively refined based on driver feedback.
• Data Reviews: Regular reviews between driver, Anthony (Link), and MX5NA6 guided adjustments.

📖 Session Recap
1. Session 1: Trigger fault persisted, causing weight transfer issues. Initial TC adjustments made.
2. Session 2: Trigger issue worsened (3 sec cuts), but driver still posted decent laps; data confirmed pace potential.
3. Session 3: Trigger sensor replaced by Mike (Olivia Automotive); TC switched off for feedback; further fine-tuning in 60–80 km/h range.
4. Session 4: Car ran on low boost, predictable handling, TC changes effective.

🎯 Plan for Day 2
• Decrease rear wing angle.
• Fit new tyres and scrub in during Session 1.
• Increase boost and push for faster times.
