Ok part 2 of the company truck. Old rear suspension removed and not too soon as the rear bushes were rs. New springs and shocks installed. Only just cleared the roller door to get out,had to push the door bit extra but clearance is clearance. Now for wheel alignment

Ok today was to complete the wiring for the winch and the lights at the front on stu’s truck. Had to fabricate a bracket to hold the winch isolator,tidied up the existing wiring. Winch works, tick.lights work, tick. He can’t wait for it to get dark to see the lights in full flight. Next replace the fuel tank with the new long range tank,that’ll be a full day with a clear head.

Back on stu’s truck. Complete snorkel install,mount winch to Bullbar,mounted lights to bullbar and remounted bullbar to truck. Lights not wired and winch not wired, a job for another day. Certainly taking shape. I think big bro is happy

Another big day working on Stuart’s truck. This time the rear chassis gets some love by the way of chassis bracing plates welded on the rear goose neck of the chassis. That should give him peace of mind that his chassis will not snap when he gets his new canopy installed tomorrow.
The build is coming together.

Today’s job,a 2024 Toyota hilux to install a 12v charging system. Ran cables down the passenger side from front to back....

Today’s job,a 2024 Toyota hilux to install a 12v charging system. Ran cables down the passenger side from front to back. Of course we had to dismantle passenger side of the truck. Add in a solar input for future panel to go on top of the truck or the slide on camper to go onto the tray. Also added in an isolating switch under bonnet. More mods to come once they work out the camper.

Well today was the start of Stuart’s 4X4 fitout journey. 3/4 of the exhaust out in 10mins,the rest about 6 hours,from snapped bolts to making a custom spanner to release 1 nut ,what a mammoth effort,but the new exhaust is in and what a difference. One happy boy. Tomorrow we tackle the winch and we’ll see how that goes. Hope the truck doesn’t fight us like it did today

Back at Brute 4x4 and first job was to repair wiring,replace switches,replace arms,replace shock cord after client had tried to put up tent with a latch still locked in,yeah that didn’t work out too well. Second job was to fit a UHF and a celfi mobile signal extender to a 150 Prado. We found a company that makes dedicated brackets for the uhf to sit directly under the centre console. Removed the centre console and the front passenger seat so I could mount the uhf under the console and the celfi under the front passenger seat. Both worked out quite neatly
