It’s simple if you have all the machines… I wont be running a tachometer on my 1980 Yamaha DT175 so no need for the cable. The only thing about removing it is that you need to block the hole in the clutch cover. I’ve done a few over the years but this one turned out the cleanest of them all.

Here’s part 1 of my 1980 Yamaha DT175 OG+ build.

My goal with this is to build a tasteful, reliable vintage motorcycle without breaking the bank.

My favourite part of vintage things is the story that surrounds them and I feel like you can easily lose that when you restore parts to brand new. So, I’ll be making sure to keep as many original parts as possible so this motorcycle can keep writing its story.

Enjoy and see you next week with part 2. Let’s go!!!

I just want to know how much tyre poke is too much? Test fitting 275/35R15, 31’s and 32’s with the king of wheels . Thanks for your hospitality bro 🫶🏽.

Making rough 316 stainless cuts look pretty on this fab job for . Lots of things to consider on this job but the end product was dialled. Full info below!

6x solid 316 Stainless round bar machined and cut to suit 2x 316 curtain rails. The rails were drilled and countersunk for a flush fastener finish, ends rounded off, and 3x solid nylon rod machined and interference fit inside the tubes to eliminate any crushing when mounting on the wall 👌🏽.

I think 3 or 4 19mm hose saws were used to do this job 🤦🏽‍♂️

It’s so wild that I’m now exclusively representing the brand of tools I used when tinkering on my first car, a 1978 Chrysler Valiant GLX, back in 2009!

started in Richmond, NSW in the 1940’s with a focus on quality tools for professionals and hobbyists. 75 years on and it is still Australian family owned 🇦🇺 with quality tools made in Taiwan, Japan, Germany and Switzerland to name a few 💪🏽.

I know I say it a lot but thank you to all who follow and support me, new and old, I feel the mountains of love and truly appreciate it.

I start posting on next week so go follow and show the page some love 🖤

Let’s get it!! 🤘🏽

I scored one of the rarest genuine VW Beetle parts ever! This 1960 Beetle has been waiting patiently for its turn to undergo rust repairs next month so I’ve been busy trying to obtain as many genuine NOS parts as possible.

It’s incredibly challenging finding them these days but I got pretty damn lucky scoring a NOS genuine VW right hand front inner guard and a pair of NOS genuine VW front guards.

This is going to be one nice Beetle when it’s finished. Stay tuned!

If you rattle wheel nuts straight on then we can’t be friends. I did it once when I was an apprentice and stripped the thread 😅. It’s gotta be one of the worst feelings I’ve ever felt hey.

I also love my new 1/2 inch stubby impact wrench. It’s so small I feel like it’s never going to work properly but it always delivers. Such a spin out!

These hidden gems are still out there but this one’s not for sale, I’ve tried. My mate wants his kid to learn to drive in it just like he did. So sick!

Imagine being 8 years old and learning to drive manual in a classic Mini Moke! Coolest thing I’ve ever heard.

Here is my Bluetooth Amplifier. Yep. I designed and tested it for over 2 years in all sorts of cars before bringing it to market. So it’s pretty cool knowing they’re now pumping tunes in over 60 classic cars! Such a surreal feeling.
