Today I want to celebrate Janae, who has achieved something very special: she is my first female student to obtain her driver’s licence on her very first test in a manual car!

And she didn’t just pass… she made only ONE minor error!

That is a fantastic result and a true reflection of the high level of driving skill, confidence and awareness she developed throughout her training.

What makes this achievement even more rewarding for me as her instructor is remembering where we started.
Janae began from zero, learning with me in my automatic training car, where our focus was on building the foundations of safe, confident and responsible driving in real traffic.

Once she had developed those essential skills, we moved on to the manual transmission in her own car, where we worked on mastering clutch control, gear changes and all the additional skills required to confidently prepare for her driving test.

And the result speaks for itself!

Well done, Janae — you should be extremely proud of yourself! It has been a pleasure watching your confidence and skills develop from day one.

🇮🇹➡️🇦🇺 After an amazing month back home in Italy (although it was definitely a little too hot! ☀️🥵), it’s been great to get back on the road, meeting new students and catching up with familiar faces to help them achieve their driving goals.

A huge congratulations to Hannah and Callum 🎉, who both passed their driving test on their first attempt! Fantastic effort—you should be proud of yourselves!

Every new licence is a reminder of why I love what I do: helping learners become safe, confident and responsible drivers.

🚧 As many of you know, the roadworks on the Tewantin Bridge are creating delays for everyone—including me! Please be patient, drive carefully and show respect to other road users. A little courtesy goes a long way in keeping our roads safe.

✈️ Final preparations before boarding the flight that will take my family and me to Italy tonight for the entire month of June!

Of course, I won’t stop driving—in fact, between Italy, Switzerland, and Croatia, I’m pretty sure I’ll cover at least 3,000 km… when in Italy,strictly with a manual transmission! 🚗⚙️

These last three weeks have been incredibly busy as I worked hard to help 15 students obtain their driver’s licence before my departure. I’m proud to say that 12 passed successfully, while the remaining 3 will have another opportunity when I return in July.

This is a fantastic result that reflects the quality of my teaching method and gives me great satisfaction as I continue my journey as a driving instructor with passion and enthusiasm.
