This 2020 Mitsubishi ASX was due for a major logbook service and came to us at the DTE Mechanics workshop to take care of it.

This logbook service included spark plug replacements, transmission oil exchange, brake fluid flush, and a cabin air filter replacement. Since the car was also overdue on a service, we performed an engine flush prior to replacing the engine oil to help prevent long term damage to the engine.

This 2013 Lexus CT200H Hybrid was due for a service, so join us as we complete its regularly scheduled maintenance!

While we were performing our thorough inspection, we found the cabin air filter to be deformed & dusty. We finished off our inspection to ensure there was nothing else to note before we notified to the customer to have this replaced.

Today at DTE Mechanics we had this Honda CR-V come in for a service.

During the check over we found multiple oil leaks from the rocker cover gasket, VTEC solenoid, front spool gasket and the power steering pump. Due to the severity of these leaks at the time of service, the owner opted to have fixed.

During a previous visit to DTE Mechanics, it was identified that the drive belt and tensioner on this 2015 Mazda CX-5 were worn. These repairs then were recommended to the customer who opted to have it replaced.

The drive belt tensioner is a common fault for this model of car, so it’s something we routinely check for during servicing.

Today at DTE Mechanics we saw this 2015 Mazda 2 for the first time.

During the service, we reviewed the vehicle’s service history and found that it has been exceptionally well maintained. With its low kilometres and consistent maintenance, no repairs were recommended to the customer during this visit.

This 2012 Nissan X-Trail came in a couple of weeks ago with its traction warning light illuminated on the dashboard.

The DTE Mechanics team diagnosed the issue and found the cause was a faulty sensor in the steering wheel. We replaced the sensor, and the warning light has disappeared.

This Mitsubishi Lancer was in for us to check valve clearance by the customers request.

This was a great idea to get checked as the rocker cover gasket had also become hard and was beginning to weep engine oil which this gets replaced at the same time.

During the service inspection of this 2008 Toyota Camery, it was found that the radiator fan was inoperable and the water pump was leaking and causing noise.

Alongside our service, we had a few recommendations noted from the last time we saw the car that we also carried out, which was a brake fluid flush, power steering fluid flush and fitted a new battery.
