A suggested draft letter to send the relevant State Office of Fair Trading.
Namely for Those in QLD, VIC, SA & TAS wanting to get Our Industry Licensed.
This is to help protect Us Tradespersons and genuinely add incentive for Anyone wanting to embark upon a Career in Our Industry.

To Whom it may concern,
With Hybrid/Electric Vehicles in circulation and the High Voltage Componentry posing a very real Safety Hazard.
I feel it is long overdue to be mandatory
for Persons (add relevant State) carrying out any Motor Vehicle Mechanical or Electrical Repairs, Servicing, Maintenance and Tyre fitment to hold proper relevant Australian Trade Qualifications.
It is vitally important Business Owners be properly Licensed to perform and or oversee activities associated to such.
As an example of perspective, I find it rather hard to comprehend the requirement of a License in (add relevant State) to make Sandwiches but not to Repair Motor Vehicle Brakes or Steering.
The Repairers License scheme has been duly addressed in WA and NSW by the respective Office of Fair Trading.
Additionally, Crucial and also High Risk Spare Parts sales should be restricted to Those actually Qualified/Licenced in the Mechanical Repair Industry.
