Just completed a factory option smartphone pack upgrade to enable Apple Carplay / Android Auto on this 2017 Range Rover Vogue. The advantage of using the factory system is seamless integration with the vehicles systems which can be somewhat of a compromise when using aftermarket options.

Progress is being made slowly but surely! After an extremely busy couple of months in the shop, I've finally had some time to get a bit more done on the Disco 4 TDV8 conversion. After 2 full days combining the 2 body harnesses and several more days doing a fair bit more custom work than I was anticipating especially in the plumbing of various systems, the engine is finally in! Now onto the next mission of programming it all and getting it fired up.

A special project underway here at UK Auto Spares, as some of my regular customers would know my personal D4 suffered from a snapped crank some time ago, with no heat evidence around the area and perfect condition bearings it is without doubt just a component failure. A very sharp reminder that no 3.0L TDV6 is exempt from the possibility of this happening (this engine has been strictly serviced at every 10,000Ks for the 70,000 Ks of myownership).

Not wanting to take any more chances I have made the decision to do a conversion to the 3.6 TDV8! Plus a few other upgrades along the way.The car is now stripped and ready to start being built back up. Yes, this is how much needs to be disassembled/changed to do this conversion with an "as factory" quality finished job.

An absolutely stunning example of an L405 Range Rover Autobiography in today for a post purchase checkover and to clean and photograph the engine block number in order to transfer the registration from interstate. Here at UK auto spares we are experts in all things Land Rover! From a basic service all the way to Engine replacement, and everything in between! This Discovery 4 is in for a replacement engine after a crank failure, but it will soon be back up and running again as cost effectively as possible with a used engine, plus all of the reliability items like a new radiator and a gearbox service that will keep this Disco running like a dream in the future.

A Discovery 4 in for some love, replacement of a cracked inlet manifold causing restricted performance faults as well as replacement of a leaking engine oil cooler assembly plus an automatic transmission flush and service including a new valve body seal kit using only quality OE parts. This particular disco having very nearly 450,000 Ks on the clock is a great example of how proper maintenance greatly extends the life if your vehicle, just look at how clean it is inside the engine!

Currently in for dismantling, an absolute gem of a 2008 Range Rover Sport L320 TDV8 3.6L with only 164K on the clock. This one was really optioned up with Logic 7 audio, premium leather heated seats, console cooler, and even built in TV tuner! Talk about some rare options. All parts Currently available however they won't last long when they are this good.
