Philippians 1:6 β βHe who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christβ.
Born 13th December, 2002, I was blessed with the names Mikaya Isis Zanique Collins by my parents Isis Walters and Kim Collins. A creative, amiable and optimistic person I thrive on learning and experience new things.
Despite my many involvements in numerous sporting and extra-curricular activities during my academic tenure, I always managed to remain a diligent and focused student. To date I have successfully completed and passed eighteen subjects at both CSEC/Cape levels, and holds Diplomas in the areas of Business Administration, Business Management & Entrepreneurship, and a Certificate of completion in The Science of Body Language. Currently, I am pursuing an Associates Degree in Entrepreneurship at the Clarance Fitzroy Bryant College.
Over the years, my interest for all things fashion has grown from the tender age of six years old where I started making basic stitch patterns with needle & thread on scraps of fabric, to a fully honed seamstress, a trait I picked up from my paternal grandmother to whom I give credit. My passion for the art form of Fashion Designing has come with great achievements, when at the age of 15 years old I was recognized as one of the twenty-five βMost Remarkable Teens in St. Kitts & Nevisβ for Fashion Design, and later that year was judged winner of the Courts (St. Kitts) Ltd Fashionista Competition.
In 2019 upon receiving an invitation from notable design house DβMarsh, I was a specially featured guest designer during the renowned New York Fashion Week. My fashion brand βMani Dotateβ which means βGifted Handsβ is Italian as my dream is to one day study fashion designing in Italy.
My motivational drive comes from my desires to be an asset to my society, to my country and young girls like myself who aspire to be successful women in the world of business. Through the medium of pageantry, I aspire to bring awareness to my platform to which I hold dear, the neurodevelopment condition known as Dyslexia.
βWork hard, keep trying, keep moving forwardβ words to which I often recite to motivate myself.
