Hop on board for a hot lap of the Sunshine Coast Motor Sport Club Inc. Gympie Sprints on the Campbells Truck & Bobcat & Landscape Supplies Special Stage over the weekend supporting the 1st round of the ARC with the Rally Queensland round.

This was my last timed run with myself and Dylan Cothill doing battle in the AK Racing GTR chipping away at the stopwatch. This run jumped me back in front but Dylan put in a heater in his last run due to some frustrations with the car to pip me by 0.6s in the end.

This run landed the Silly sil 3rd outright and 1st in class with a 1:27.56.

After bending the thing and patching it back together it was awesome to get a result and put on a show for the fans then drive the old girl back on the trailer at the end of the day.

Massive thank you to the AK boys, Adam Randell and Velmec Auto for the help to get her running again over the weekend.

Also a massive congratulations needs to go out to the SCMSC committee and volunteers for making the weekend possible. Without their commitment and efforts behind the scenes amazing events like these for local talent to put on a show at a national level event is epic! Thank you all!

So after an eventful first run here at the Rally Queensland x Sunshine Coast Motor Sport Club Inc. Street sprints I clipped the barrier out of the last turn and gave the s15 a slight wheel alignment rejig. 100mm of toe out probs not ideal but still crossed the line for 2nd quickest overall after one run.

Luckily enough Repco Noosaville had a new s14 rack end to help transplant into the s15 that would work. Emma Thoren scooted off and picked it up from Noosa for us and when she got back we realised the new arm didn't have as much thread for my rack end .... Doh!

Enter the legend Adam Randell from Velmec Automotive Service & Repairs to rush down to the shop for a quick hacksaw and retread to make things work and some help of some toe plates and tools from the legends from AK Racing: Nate Alan James and Blake we are on the deck, somewhat aligned and ready for run two after lunch!

Fingers crossed she is still at least 90% to have some fun and put on a show!

Massive thank you to the legends and long time supporters at Keith 4 Wheels giving the Beanie a final blessing before the 1st round of the Hot Hatch Cup Australia series this coming weekend at the legendary Lakeside Park Qld raceway!

I can't hold it in any longer as I'm so proud of how this thing has come along :)

Say hello to my new "Beanie" Mini Cooper. Ready to ruffle some feathers in the Hot Hatch Cup Australia championship in 2026.

I'm looking forward to getting back into some door to door racing and what better way than with an affordable, fun, clean, competitive and gentlemenly series with a fantastic bunch of gents and gent-ette (watch this space!).

Massive thank you to Jeffrey for letting me prise his baby from his clammy fingers last year and put my Lobezy Racing stank on it for the 2026 season. I'm looking forward to shaking and baking with him this year with his new weapon that's also going to make things saucy!

Let me know what you think of the livery idea in the comments below. Paying homage to the beast Mr Bean wheeled around with Ted in the 80's and 90's. Hopefully there aren't any Reliant Robins on track this year 👀

Working on a few more projects over the weekend where my old man started teaching me how to weld.

Dad and I built this sick exhaust in the shed over the weekend and the new little trolley to cart my welder setup around on as well with some Lobezy racing touches :p

I think I did ok for my first attempt ever at melting metal bits together!

I did maybe 5% of the welding but still heaps of learning and keen to keep at it and try making more stuff myself :)

The 2026 racing season is gonna be awesome fun!

Looking forward to representing my amazing supporters over the year with this new project!
