C10 starting to come together!

We have had a long list of jobs to do on the ol truck, originally coming to us for some chassis work and a IFS, we found some pretty rude body work that needed some attention.

Chasing rust and sh*tty repairs, adding some sweet wheel tubs and a custom bed, it’s great to see the truck about ready for paint!

Greg recently brought his VS ute project to us for a complete redo.

Y’all might remember this is the Ute we built for Guy a few years ago to attack drag challenge!

Greg’s definitely mixed it up a bit with this reincarnation -

🍷Redo the sheet metal in the rear to hide the fuel system
🍷 Relocate the front strut towers to lay low with the 22” Simmons
🍷 Bagged all round
🍷 Abrasive blasted and repaired body

Plenty more jobs to go, looking too good to not share some progress shots!

Render to Reality - Willy's Drop Shop 1969 VF Dodge Ute!

We love a good Render to Reality post, so what better way to kick things off than with one of the crowd favourites from Meguiar's MotorEx

We first crossed paths with Will a few years back at MotorEx - starting things off with those COE renders you might remember. Right after that, we got stuck into something a little more personal: Will's own stunning '69 Dodge ute.

And honestly? It ticks every single box. Perfect stance, slant 6, all the right details - this thing was made for cruising the absolute wheels off. Seeing the vision come to life this cleanly never gets old.

What a massive few months it has been getting the four cars to Meguiar's MotorEx!

Firstly my team at Willy’s, Troy Rees and Gareth Hanks - these boys are so talented! None of this would have happened without them!

Luke Williams Autocraft for trusting us with the Metro project, it has been a massive 12 months picking up this project and getting it to where it is today.

Mick and Spencer at flash panels, putting in so many hours to get all 4 cars over the line.

Guy Thornell from Boss Mechanical & Performance, cheers mate for getting all the 203 horses outta that slant, doing the last few touches on the torry, oh and holding that pole up from falling at motorex! Great sport.

And mostly my amazing partner and best friend Tara Jones, for holding down the fort while I do stupid hours working on these projects.
You and the boys have supported me so much forever, but even more in the last few months. Thanks hun ❤️

So many more people to thank, it takes an army of good friends and clients to get these cars to this level, and I’m so grateful to have had this experience around motorex!

Fresh back from Flash panels, the final assembly and finishing touches are nearly done!

🐗 Custom back panel

🐗 Jammed a Boss baby 427 dart special in there with all the fruit!
