Happy Thursday everyone! Coopers bought in his gu nissan patrol ute in for some further upgrades! Currently has a United Fuel Injection 21l and there ufi clutch, a massive Radius Fabrication ls1 air filter airbox and a 5” snorkel on a generic top mount intercooler. As you can see from the graphs the poor old 11mm pump is very tiered 😴 its creating quite a mexican wave of power seeing a max of 70kw and 260nm at the wheels! So cooper has decided to get a ufi 230hp 12mm. Unfortunately sometimes ufi are out of stock but companies like hayden at HDAutomotive also keep in stock a huge array of parts including ufi pumps / turbos / injectors / clutches and everything else in between from other major companies! so we managed to jump the queue as such and they sent one down and low and behold after we opened it up the package stated it was a 230hp 12mm but the id tag on this one states its a 300hp party pump!!! 🥳 now we absolutely won’t be aiming for those figures today and will be aiming for a modest 220-230hp as that was what cooper originally wanted. Stay tuned 🎶 🕺🏼 this ones going to make his patrol night and day to drive!

Good afternoon everyone, another reminder again please do not book cars in for a tune when the vehicle is in absolutely no state to be ran on the dyno. Now truthfully no one knew about the issues found with rust and the horrendous “self tune fuel pin groove” in the aftermarket fuel pump but key points here are………

* egt probe just chilling in the left inner guard on the engine bay so it clearly doesn’t work
*plastic cable tie used to hold the hong kong rod bender wastegate actuator on and nuts missing to lock rod
*again with bad oil leaks
*intercooler piping and silicone joiners rubbing on everything (body in multiple places and bullbar where front mount is, squished piping around battery / power steering pump with obvious deep cuts / grooves in the silicone joiners can see were obvious leaks are.
* brake master cylinder empty ( handbrake warning light on ) obvious brake fluid leaking from back of brake master to booster.
* this vehicle isn’t a “genuine td42” and its had a zd30 cab swap and the wiring is horrific ( they have attempted to hybrid the zd and td loom ) and having things like a working rpm tacho don’t work and the glow plugs aren’t working like factory amongst the wiring / conversion issues, customer never told me of this until they dropped it off.
* intake piping to hong kong rod bender not even tight nor is it on correctly and i have a gut feeling its been a dyson sucking in dust.

I take too much pride in my work / tuning to always give you the customer the best results / experience please i don’t know how many times i need to keep saying if you honestly are unsure on your vehicles condition but want a tune we need to book in vehicle inspections and repairs first. Dyno tuning will never “fix” a severally unmaintained car.

This vehicle wasn’t tuned and the customer must get a full mechanical check over done and get the car up to spec and address the wiring so gauges work as they should.

Happy Monday everyone! We got stock coming in from everybody this week! United Fuel Injection 18g turbos and there upgraded clutch and genuine rear main seals and gaskets and other parts from Patrolapart & Navarapart for builds we will be commencing shorty, they will be getting pumps from JH Hilux (pumps are on route to us this week ) the boys at Resurrection 4x4 have just dropped off this gu nissan patrol that they have fitted a 2nd hand ufi 18g and factory turbo manifold on with custom intake to the Fatz Induction & Exhaust airbox and a Johnny Tig top mount intercooler. And ill be changing out the old 10mm fuel pump for a 2nd hand dpu 12mm that had been “refurbished” by hi-tech in Adelaide. So we will get that on and can’t wait to see the numbers this silvertop will make! 🕺🏼

Dans gu ute is now all sorted from the broken compensator spring and horrific messing around with the fuel screw and star wheel and the pump timing all up to 💩. As arrived it made 119kw and 440nn to now easily making 152kw and 560nm on the 35z! Please if you don’t know what your doing leave it alone and take it to a specialist that know! 🕺🏼

Happy Friday everyone! 🕺🏼 dans bought in his gu td42-t ute in for us to have a look over it has an older United Fuel Injection 230hp pump and a Performance 4x4 18g, theres cold start issues + tune issues. As you can see ive removed the lid off the compensator and pulled the fuel pin / spring out to find the springs snapped in half and someone has wound the fuel screw out heaps to compensate the extreme over-fuelling it was getting as the fuel pin is no longer at its correct “off boost” fuelling height. Thankfully we have alot of parts in stock from Tillix Performance and Tuning and will get this up and running the way it should in no time. Stay tuned!

Happy Thursday everyone! from doing the JH Hilux 200hp 11 pump on davids gu, we also did a full mechanical check over for him prior his up coming trip Davids given us the green light to replace alot of the std suspension components that are on his lovells 3.5 ton suspension kit to much better stronger ones from Roadsafe 4WD they include heavy duty adjustable panhards front and rear with upgraded washers, a hd draglink in the front and replace the tie rod ends for the already fitted heavy duty track rod, sway bar bushes front and rear and correct hd sway bar links to suit the lift. We are also removing all rear factory lower and upper control arms for the hd +11 lowers and adjustable uppers to correct the rear diff pinion angle with david supplying us bendix upgraded disc rotors front and rear with there 4wd pads with replacing the tiered old engine mounts and gearbox mounts thanks to Qikazz 4x4 & Camping for the parts time to get stuck into it! 🕺🏼

Steves gu’s back on the dyno! the two dyno graphs are for comparison from when it originally came in ( totally stock 11mm ti pump and factory ht18 turbo to now sporting the United Fuel Injection 18g turbo and 200hp 11mm pump ) and the 2nd graph is the 18g turbo and factory ti pump vs swapping over to the united fuel injection 200hp 11mm. Steve will be towing a 2.5-3t caravan so with having the restriction of only a factory bolt in upgrade intercooler and the well known restrictive factory plastic airbox it has still made some fantastic safe gains and it will absolutely make more power and torque with a decent sized intercooler and a better breathing airbox. Its original power was 68kw and 250nm at the wheels with the ufi 18g and factory 11mm ti pump it saw 108kw and 360nm to now having the ufi 200 hp 11mm pump its at 130kw and 460nm at the wheels 🛞 have a fantastic time on your upcoming trip steve! 🕺🏼

Happy Wednesday everyone steves bought back his series 4 gu td42ti patrol after doing the United Fuel Injection 18g turbo upgrade to now install there 200hp 11mm pump! This being a series 4 wagon it has factory cruise control so there is some minor modifications required to make all the factory cruise work. It still has a smaller intercooler and factory airbox so we wont be aiming at crazy numbers, but this will make some fantastic numbers over the tiered original ti 11mm pump stay tuned! 🕺🏼

Waynes gu patrol is now repping a United Fuel Injection 18g turbo! 🕺🏼 unfortunately with nearly 490,000kms on the clock the original 11mm pump didn’t have much to give and it will require a pump replacement and fresh injectors in the future.
