FRIDAY ROAD-READY TIP | Before You Hitch Up

Heading away in the caravan this weekend? Before you hit the road, take a couple of minutes to give your A-frame a quick safety check.

✅ Coupling – make sure it’s properly secured and locked
✅ Safety chains – check they’re connected correctly and in good condition
✅ Electrical connection – make sure your plug and cable are secure
✅ Breakaway system – check the cable is connected correctly and the system is ready to do its job if needed

They’re simple checks, but they’re important ones.

A few minutes before you leave can mean a safer, smoother trip once you’re on the road. 💚

🚗🏍️🚐 DID YOU KNOW? Coastal RV Hub is an Approved Inspection Station (AIS)!

We can carry out pre-registration inspections for a range of light vehicles, including:

🚗 Cars / light vehicles
🏍️ Motorcycles
🚐 Caravans
🛻 Trailers

Light vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes.

So, when might you need a pre-registration inspection?

You may need one when registering a vehicle in Tasmania — for example, if you’ve brought or purchased a vehicle from interstate, it has never been registered, or its registration has expired and an inspection is required before it can be registered again.

Whether it’s your car, motorbike, caravan or trailer, our team can help get the inspection sorted.

This caravan came into Coastal RV Hub for insurance repair work and required an extensive rebuild.

A huge congratulations to the Coastal Caravans Coastal RV Hub Under 16 Burnie Dockers Premiership winners! 🏉🏆💜

It has been an honour to sponsor & support this group since they were Under 12s & to watch them grow, not only as footballers, but as young men.

Days like today don’t just happen. They are the result of years of hard work, commitment, mateship & plenty of people giving up their time behind the scenes.

A massive thank you to Coaches Kurt & Strett for the time, guidance and belief you’ve invested in these boys, and to all the wonderful parents, volunteers & supporters who help make it possible for these young men to pull on the jumper each week & enjoy the opportunities that come with being part of a great footy club.
