👀 WHAT’S HIDING BEHIND YOUR CARAVAN WALLS?

From the outside, you might never know there’s a problem.

But once the team starts pulling things apart, sometimes there’s a very different story hiding underneath.

This caravan is a great example of why keeping on top of leaks, water ingress and general maintenance is so important. What starts as something you may not even notice can eventually lead to damage behind the walls.

🔧 The earlier an issue is identified, the better.

If you’ve noticed signs of water ingress — or you’re simply not sure what’s going on behind the scenes — have a chat with the team at Coastal RV Hub.

🔧 TECH TIP TUESDAY | Check your awning hardware

Your awning fabric might get all the attention…but don’t forget the hardware holding everything together. 👀

Before heading away, take a few minutes to give your awning a good visual check.

Look over the arms, brackets, fasteners and locking components for anything that appears loose, damaged, corroded or excessively worn.

And don’t forget the mounting points where the awning attaches to your caravan — these are worth keeping an eye on too.

A quick check at home is much better than discovering something isn’t right when you’re already set up at camp. 🚐

If something looks loose, damaged or you’re unsure about it, have it checked rather than forcing or adjusting it yourself.

🔧 TECH TIP TUESDAY | WHEN DID YOU LAST CHECK YOUR AWNING? 👀

Before your next trip, give your caravan awning a quick once-over.

Keep an eye on:
✔️ Fabric — tears, damage or deterioration
✔️ Arms & hardware — anything damaged or not operating properly
✔️ Fasteners & mounting points — anything loose or showing movement

And if your awning has been packed away wet, open it up and let it dry thoroughly when you can.

A quick check now could save trouble when you’re away. 🚐

Need something checked or repaired? Give the Coastal RV Hub team a call. 🔧
