A good idea is to drive at a safe distance so you don't have the need to slam on your brakes after accelerating. Slow down early so you don't need to brake so often. Car Maintenance 101-Cooling System.

The cooling system is there to keep your engine from overheating.
The water pump sends the coolant through your engine to take the heat away from the combustion chamber and then makes its way to the radiator.
Once cooled it is recirculated back into the engine.

Over the course of time the coolant becomes contaminated with scale, rust and other debris that may damage the cooling system components and needs be changed at regular intervals.

When the cooling system is flushed, the debris is removed we then fill the system with fresh coolant and distilled water for top performance.
