In Memory of Ed 'Isky' Iskenderian (1921–2026)

While the world mourns the loss of 'The Camfather'—the man who built the foundation of the hot rod industry—we are also mourning a dear friend.

Bill Mann always said that Ed was a person you simply could not describe with words. They met in the USA, but their bond went much deeper than just parts and engines. Many may not know that Ed was actually stationed right here in Brisbane during his service in WWII, and he always held a special connection to our part of the world.

This photo captures a truly historic moment between them. Ed is showing Bill one of his very first camshaft grinding machines—a repurposed WWII machine that Ed modified to launch his shop after the war. It represents the very beginning of a global revolution in performance.

Thank you, Ed, for your service, your friendship, and for changing the car world forever. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
