THE END OF AN ERA… AND THE START OF SOMETHING BIGGER.

Five years. Thousands of kilometres. Countless adventures.

Our original pontoon boat The Black Pearl has been a big part of Salty Life 1770, and this Sunday she’ll finish her final day of service before she heads down to the Murray River to live out her days in the fresh water with another company.

But while one chapter closes…

The next one has already arrived.

Next week we’ll be busy fitting her out and getting everything ready for her launch next weekend.

Pontoon hire will be paused next week while we get The BP2 ready — but our Runabout 'Felix' hire continues as normal, and bookings for Black Pearl 2 are now open.

And that leaves just one question…

At Salty Life 1770 boat hire, every adventure is different. Some days it's dolphins, turtles and secluded beaches... and some days Mother Nature delivers a spectacular double rainbow. 🌈🌈

Some start line action at the 1770 Dragon Boat Regatta 2026. The water was so clear. Anchoring was a bit tricky with wind against tide but we eventually sorted. Congratulations 1770 Dragons
