Your brakes can give you a few warning signs when they need attention.
Keep an ear (and foot) out for:
🔧 Squealing or squeaking when braking
🔧 Grinding or scraping noises
🔧 Vibrations or shuddering through the steering wheel or brake pedal
🔧 The car pulling to one side when you brake
🔧 A soft or spongy brake pedal
🔧 Having to press the brake pedal further than usual
🔧 Longer stopping distances than you’re used to
🔧 A brake warning light appearing on the dashboard
Some brake wear is gradual, so you may not notice a big change straight away.
If something feels or sounds different when you brake, it’s worth having it checked before a small issue becomes a bigger one.
Your brakes are one thing you don’t want to ignore. 🚘
