Our next Race Day is coming, and it's bringing the region together.

On 10 July, Scone Race Club hosts the Upper Hunter Country Tourism Race Day. Gates open from 12pm for an afternoon of racing in the crisp country air.
For those looking to enjoy the day in comfort, the Noel Leckie Function Room offers panoramic views of the track, a warm indoor setting, and a delicious buffet lunch by The Hunted Gourmet ($55pp).
This race day is also an opportunity to say thank you;
To the tourism operators who welcome visitors to our region and help showcase everything that makes the Upper Hunter special.
To the volunteers who keep our events running—setting up before sunrise, directing traffic, and taking care of the countless jobs behind the scenes that make a difference.

Due to wet weather, the scheduled Aberdeen Cup Day at Muswellbrook Race Club has been transferred to Scone Race Club.

What a way to close out Day Two of the 2026 Scone Racing Carnival!

Arrowfield Stud Dark Jewel Classic Day delivered in style, with the $250,000 Group 3 Arrowfield Dark Jewel Classic — the only Group 3 race run at a country racecourse in NSW — taken out in impressive fashion by Tuileries, trained by Peter Snowden (Snowden Racing) and ridden by Chad Schofield.

Powering down the outside for a dominant win by 0.67 lengths, Tuileries gave Peter Snowden a remarkable double on the day — his galloper Miss Freelove had earlier taken out Race 7, making it a standout Arrowfield Dark Jewel Classic Day for the Snowden stable. Adding extra significance, Peter Snowden is a former Scone local — so there was plenty of heart in that winner's circle today.

The local flavour was strong throughout the card too, with Brett and Georgie Cavanough (Cavanough Racing) saluting with Wanaruah in Race 6, and Paul Messara and Leah Gavranich, continuing their brilliant Carnival form with Autumn King in Race 2.

Congratulations to all connections, and thank you to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable Day Two.
