UTAS Motorsport University of Tasmania's Formula SAE (FSAE) Motorsport Team UTAS Motorsport is now in its eighth year of operation, each year improving on the last!

University of Tasmania Motorsport is a student driven Formula SAE team comprised of predominately engineering students as well as students from other disciplines such as business and media. Students take on the role of a small production team and, within a year, must conceive, design, finance and manufacture a prototype formula style racing car that adheres to the regulations outlined for FSAE.

Their Ellipse‑D INS integrates seamlessly with our LIDAR and ROS framework, giving our AV Team the high‑accuracy, drift‑free positioning needed to retrofit our 2023 chassis into a fully driverless Formula SAE‑A vehicle for 2026.
