UTAS Motorsport

UTAS Motorsport University of Tasmania's Formula SAE (FSAE) Motorsport Team UTAS Motorsport is now in its eighth year of operation, each year improving on the last!

University of Tasmania Motorsport is a student driven Formula SAE team comprised of predominately engineering students as well as students from other disciplines such as business and media. Students take on the role of a small production team and, within a year, must conceive, design, finance and manufacture a prototype formula style racing car that adheres to the regulations outlined for FSAE.

On the 7th of June the team was lucky enough to be able to attend the Baskerville Autocraft 1000 - an endurance race. The team got to speak to some interesting people learning how professional racing works behind the scenes and stand close to the action, with the added bonus of being able to show off one of our older cars to the wider racing community.
