ποΈπ₯ "WE'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE" β HICKMAN & TODD BREAK THEIR SILENCE ON BSB EXIT π
A day after the news that 8TEN Racing is stepping back from the British Superbike Championship for 2026, Peter Hickman and Davey Todd have spoken directly to fans β and the message is loud and clear: this isn't goodbye.
In a video posted today, Hickman admitted it was "really sad news" but said the call was "not taken lightly at all," following plenty of talks with the team's partners and BMW Motorrad. The focus now? Pull back from BSB and come back stronger π
πΉ 8TEN Racing WILL keep racing in 2026 β at "various different events throughout the year"
πΉ Both riders teased "some really cool races" in the pipeline, soon to be announced
πΉ Davey Todd, still building back to full fitness, confirmed he's planning to be back on the grid in 2026 β "It's something new, it's something different"
πΉ Everything pointing towards a renewed effort in 2027
Todd was keen to head off any worry: "We don't want this news to be taken the wrong way⦠the only thing happening is we're not continuing with British Superbikes at the moment."
The team also confirmed that fans who booked hospitality at BSB rounds will be refunded "very shortly," promising to look after every supporter "110%."
So while the short circuits go quiet for now, two of the fastest men on the roads are far from done for 2026 πͺ Keep those eyes peeled for the race announcements π
