Due to tropical Cyclone Alfred we have closed the shop and removed the contents to safe grounds .
Hopefully back up and running early next week we will contacted customers who were booked in for work and will work to get you all booked back in for your job’s ASAP .

Job description

Straight Wheels Truck Alignment Rocklea is currently looking for a junior mechanically minded highly motivated individual to join our team of technicians
full on the job training will be provided to the right person.

This role will require someone who is willing to learn all aspects of the business and become a highly respected and rewarded team member.

We provide services to the heavy vehicle trucking industry including wheel alignment, tyres , re-bushing , steering and suspension repairs.

Tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Wheel alignments on trucks , trailers , commercials and 4x4`s
steering and suspension repairs
Trailer rebushing
Tyre Fitting and Wheel balancing
Assisting our qualified Mechanics
Parts pickup
cleaning of workshop

The key skills and requirements for this role include:

Skilled use of tools inc hand and air tools
Problem solving ability
Automotive experience is an advantage but not essential
High attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Must hold a valid drivers license
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn
Be physically fit
Punctual, reliable, honest and have a strong work ethic
Have own reliable transport

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4:00pm
Minimum 40 hours per week, some overtime expected on a need for basis

Thinking of peters old boss from Sydney today was his funeral
Bruce Rielley the owner of Truckalign Narellan who introduced and trained Peter to do truck alignments back in 1990 was a top bloke and a real mentor to peter early on in straight wheels days as well.
We owe him heaps and we always kept in touch , we would talk on the phone every couple of months for all those years
