🎨 RESTORATION UPDATE – OLYMPIC BLUE IS ON! 💙 Team

Another major milestone has been reached on this classic Ford Es**rt Estate, and what a transformation.

After the extensive metalwork, preparation, priming and countless hours spent getting the body straight, the Es**rt has now been laid out in its stunning Ford Olympic Blue. Seeing the colour on the shell really brings the project to life.

The engine bay, inner guards, bonnet, door jambs and exterior have all received the same attention to detail, giving the car a beautifully consistent finish throughout. The gloss and reflections straight out of the booth are already showing just how much work went into the preparation underneath.

Inside, the shell has also been stripped and refinished, providing a clean foundation ready for the next stages of the build.

✅ Extensive body and panel repairs completed
✅ Bare metal preparation
✅ Epoxy primed for long-term corrosion protection
✅ High-build primed and block sanded
✅ Final panel alignment and preparation
✅ Interior shell refinished
✅ Engine bay and jambs painted
✅ Full body finished in Ford Olympic Blue
✅ Front grille and lighting starting to go back into place
🔜 Next up – continuing the careful reassembly

There’s still plenty to do before this Es**rt is back on the road, but this is one of those stages where all the hours spent underneath the paint finally become visible.

🚧 Full Ground-Up Restoration Incoming 2026🚧

This 1992 Land Cruiser turbo diesel 5-speed is about to undergo a complete ground-up restoration. The build will include new aftermarket suspension, brand new tyres, engine and a full overhaul package, all being carried out at THE HAMMER WORKS
