Kart & Track KART & TRACK provides kart preparation services prior to race meetings. On track mechanical and data Karting, Circuit Racing and Speedway.

Stephen Wright the proprietor of Kart & Track has been involved in many forms of motorsport since 1980. Stephen raced for many years in through the 80's competing in Australia and New Zealand. In 2000 Stephen ran KAT Engines an engine business In the then Tony Kart dealer Jim Morton's factory. Working with the likes of Mark Winterbottom, Michael Caruso, Taz Douglas, Kris Laue, Dan Abbott, and Davi

d Burch. specialising in servicing Koene Formula A and ICA engines and porting Resa Engines for the Piston Port class. In 2004 & 2005 travelling to Europe to work in Martijn Koene factory Tony Kart NL attending the famous winter cup meetings. Most recently the last 2 years I have been working as a mechanic and chassis tuner for various competitors in Club, State and National titles events. I also provide the Mychron 5 system for my clients to use during the event helping them understand the chassis changes and driving tips gained from the Data. I am available for individual test days by arrangement and weekend race meetings where available.

So our first hit out with the KT4 Kali Kart was a huge success whilst the race results don't show it.
This weekend was about getting our hands on the Kali and getting a base line on set up.
We also have been working hard on the Galaxy Engine all in preparation for the next round of the AKC Newcastle on the first weekend in June.

We made the final in 33rd spot and after getting turned around when being completely alongside a competitor we resumed in 38th more than 7 seconds behind 37th place.
Tim Colombrita drove through to 22nd place.
Most pleasing was our speed with Tim setting a best lap of 47.5 less than a tenth off our qualifying time.
The Galaxy showed incredible pace throughout the weekend Tim completed 56 passing moves throughout the weekends racing.
We now have a great starting point for AKC R3 amd look forward to qualifying closer to the front to stay out of the mid field carnage.

It is a beautiful piece of equipment and the sticker kit goes on like a dream.
