Position Available: Mechanic

Ausmech Mechanical Solutions & Fulcrum Suspensions Ipswich is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team in Raceview, Queensland.

As a full-time Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring our clients' transportation needs are met efficiently and effectively. At Ausmech we are a one stop shop, from wheels, tyres and alignments to bash trays, snorkels and bull bars to every day repairs and maintenance- we are looking for a team member who is keen and eager.

What you'll be doing:
• Conduct thorough inspections, diagnose issues, and perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles as well as suspension modifications and vehicle enhancements such as bull bars, winches, accessories, etc.
• Utilise your technical expertise to identify and resolve complex mechanical problems
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure work is completed to the highest standards
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
• Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies

What we're looking for:
• Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a related field (3rd or 4th year apprentices encouraged to apply also).
• Proven experience as a Mechanic, with a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
• Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• A team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and grow

Position available: service receptionist

Ausmech and Fulcrum are looking for an organised and enthusiastic service receptionist to manage front desk operations, provide exceptional customer service and support our mechanical team. If this sounds like the perfect role for you, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities may include but aren’t limited to;
- Greeting customers, handling phone calls, emails and messages.
- Scheduling bookings and maintaining accurate records.
- Data entry, scanning/filing, various other office tasks and paperwork.
- Providing exceptional customer service and promptly handling quotes and customer concerns courteously.
- Collaborate with mechanical staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Invoicing and taking payments.
- Ordering and organising parts for jobs.
- General cleaning duties.

WHAT WE OFFER
- Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm NO Weekend work.
- 1 hour lunch break every day, with an air conditioned lunchroom equipped with a kitchenette, fridge, microwave, airfryer and kettle.
- Weekly pay.
- A family owned business with a great work culture.

ABOUT YOU
- Experience in a customer service/reception role is preferred.
- Interest/Experience in the automotive industry is a bonus but not required.
- Accuracy and a high attention to detail in tasks which may include processing invoices, filing, ordering and organising parts, and various admin tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills including in person, in writing and over the telephone, as well as via email.
- Strong interpersonal skills such as working in a team and the ability to communicate effectively with management, team members and customers.
- Must have a valid drivers licence.
