Gotta love it when you pull things apart because a shop gives the wrong diagnosis. Pulled a gearbox out for a clutch that wasn't worn and that looked relatively new and a rear main seal leak that doesn't leak... self fixing car? Well no. The last dodgy guy that glued in the cam sensor failed to use oil resistant sealant so 50kms later starts pi***ng out oil for real... 🤔

If you have a Dodge, Jeep or Chrysler with a 3.6 V6 and wonder why you're losing oil, we'll this is probably why. The 3.6 V6 tends to crack the oil filter housing as its made from weak plastic causing the centre of the engine to fill up with oil. This customer had oil every due to exactly that happening.

Well that was one super tight wheel bearing. BMW x1 for people wondering, really had to heat it up to get it off.

Unfortunately for this guy his Holden cruze had a split in the factory plastic thermostat housing. We switched it out for an aftermarket metal housing to avoid this from happening again. Bit more expensive but cheap insurance.
