We do wheel alignments!
Wheel alignment is the adjustment of your vehicle’s suspension angles to ensure tires meet the road correctly, improving handling, tire life, and fuel efficiency.
What is Wheel Alignment?
Wheel alignment, also called tire alignment, involves adjusting the angles of your vehicle’s wheels so they are properly positioned relative to the road and each other. It focuses on the suspension system, not the tires themselves, ensuring even tire contact, precise steering, and predictable handling. Misalignment can cause uneven tire wear, pulling to one side, and reduced fuel efficiency.
Key Alignment Angles
1. Camber – The inward or outward tilt of the tire when viewed from the front. Slight negative camber improves cornering, but excessive camber causes rapid inner or outer edge wear.
2. Toe – The direction tires point when viewed from above. Incorrect toe causes wandering on straight roads and sawtooth wear patterns.
3. Caster – The forward or backward tilt of the steering axis from the side view. Positive caster improves stability and steering feel.
Signs Your Vehicle Needs Alignment
• Vehicle pulls to one side while driving straight
• Uneven or rapid tire wear
• Off-center or crooked steering wheel
• Steering wheel vibration, especially at highway speeds
• Squealing tires during normal turns
Alignment Process
1. Inspection – Technicians check suspension, steering components, and tire condition for wear or damage.
2. Measurement – Using computerized or laser alignment machines, wheel angles are measured against manufacturer specifications.
3. Adjustment – Camber, toe, and caster are adjusted precisely to restore proper alignment.
4. Verification and Road Test – Final checks and test drives ensure handling and steering are optimal.
Types of Alignment
• TwoWheel Alignment – Adjusts only the front wheels; suitable for older or rear-wheel-drive vehicles.
• FourWheel Alignment – Adjusts all wheels; recommended for most modern cars, especially with independent rear suspensions or all-wheel drive.
Maintenance Recommendations
• Check alignment every 12 -20,000km or every 12 months.
• After hitting potholes, curbs, or minor collisions.
