That's the Australian Khanacross Championship DONE 👍🏻

Midway through the day I was only 0.71 seconds in front of 3rd place in my class 😬

The Datsun rally car that was winning our class had managed to pull away from me with the gap being 10.77 seconds 🥲

After it was all said and done - I started catching up to the Datsun and ended the day 7.91 seconds behind him - including the 5 second penalty I got on day 1! 😎

Coming 2nd to an old school spec rally car is something I can live with 👌🏻

As for the young fella who came 3rd in class - he drove brilliantly and deserved that trophy as much as everyone else 💪🏻

I had a go in the afternoon and managed to get in front of him by 7.32 seconds 🤟🏻

Times, places, winners and losers - it doesn't matter! Just being a part of a national title in any form of motorsport is awesome for all involved and I'm grateful to have been a part of it 🙏🏻

About to start the second half of the day 😎

I'm still 2nd in class, but 3rd place is closing the gap and could potentially drop me into 3rd 😬

What ever it is - it is and I'm just stoked to be here 🙏🏻

We're here and set up at Awaba for day 2 of the Australian Khanacross Championship.

Due to someone parking in my allocated pit - I ended up with a better one 😁😁

The $500 Mazda did bloody well today! 💪🏻

A mistake on the first run of the day (I hit a flag) resulted in a 5 second penalty and means I've had to drive my ass off to try and climb back from 4th in class 😬

At the end of day 1 I've finished 2nd in class, 5.49 seconds behind a Datsun rally car! 🤟🏻

Hopefully tomorrow at Awaba I can do some magic and take the lead, but I can live with being beaten by a spec rally car 🤷🏻‍♂️
