🚤 MerCruiser Bravo Steering Repair – Stopping Water Where It Shouldn’t Be

This week we repaired a Bravo drive with a worn steering pin and leaking seal. The faulty seal was allowing water to enter the boat — if left unresolved, it could have led to serious internal damage.

To access the steering pin’s clamp bolt, we carefully drilled into the transom shield, a procedure often required on these units when direct access isn't possible. We replaced the steering pin and seal, then sealed the access points using the genuine MerCruiser transom shield plug kit for a clean and secure finish.

✅ Smooth steering restored
✅ Water intrusion stopped
✅ Long-term reliability ensured
