🌿 Floral Waters at Oil4you 🌿

If you like a light, fresh spray, you might like our Floral Waters.

We have four to choose from:

Rose — Rosa damascena
Lavender — Lavandula angustifolia
Orange — Citrus sinensis
Lemon Myrtle — Backhousia citriodora

They’re lovely as a light mist for your face or body, or just for a little refresh during the day.

🌲 SPOTLIGHT ON: TURPENTINE 🌲

Every now and then, I like to put the spotlight on some of the more unusual oils at Oil4you — and this one definitely gets people talking! 😄

Turpentine Essential Oil

Now, before you think “Turpentine? Isn't that the stuff from the paint section at Bunnings?” 😂

Nope — that's not what we're talking about here!

The Turpentine Essential Oil at Oil4you comes from the resin of the Maritime Pine, Pinus pinaster.

🌿 Plant part: Pine resin
💧 Extraction: Steam distillation

🌲 So what was turpentine traditionally used for?

Turpentine has a fascinating history.

For generations, pine resin and turpentine were used in a variety of practical and household applications. It became particularly well known for its solvent properties and was used in things such as cleaning, varnishes, paints and other traditional crafts.

So while most people today probably associate the word turpentine with the hardware store, its story actually starts with pine trees and their resin. 🌲

👃 And why does it smell so strong?

Pine resin naturally contains aromatic compounds called terpenes. These are highly volatile, meaning they evaporate easily — giving this oil its distinctive fresh, sharp, powerful and resinous pine aroma.

It's definitely not a subtle aroma! 😄

That's what I love about essential oils — there's always another plant, resin or aroma to discover.

If you've never smelled Turpentine Essential Oil before, come and have a smell at the Oil4you stall. You might be surprised!

I’ve got a bit too much Turmeric Essential Oil in stock, so I’m putting it on special for a while and passing the savings on to you.
