Most people see the shine, but not the work that goes into it 👀

Here's a little behind the scenes of this Honda Civic getting our 5-year ceramic coating package.

Before coating, we properly decontaminate and polish the paint to improve the gloss and remove light swirls.

We even take the wiper arms off so we can properly access and coat the plastic trims underneath. It's those little details we don't like skipping.

So why ceramic coating?

It helps protect your paint from everyday contamination, makes washing and maintenance easier, and keeps that glossy finish looking great for longer.

Our package includes proper paint prep, polishing, and ceramic protection for the paint, trims and glass.

It's not just about making a car shiny. It's about doing the preparation properly so the coating has the best chance to perform as intended.

The prep takes longer than the coating 👀

Wheels properly cleaned and prepped before ceramic coating, with the guards and the rest of the car cleaned up too. It’s the little details that bring it all together.

The boot tells half the story 😂

Hose reels, towels and gear packed into whatever space is left. A little behind the scenes of building DriveHQ.

I’ve been on the tools for around 10 years, and I still enjoy walking around a meet checking out everyone’s cars. The wheels, the paint, the little things someone has put time into making their own.

That’s something I keep in mind when looking after a customer’s car too. Someone takes pride in it, and they’re trusting me with it.

There’s plenty that happens before the glossy finish you see here. Washing, removing bonded contamination and checking the paint before deciding what it actually needs. Not every car needs the same treatment.

Still building, still learning, and enjoying being part of the Perth car community 🤝
