Routine Inspection = Major Failure Prevented 🚜

During a scheduled inspection today, I found a missing mounting bolt in a fire suppression harness.

👉 The harness had started rubbing through wiring.
👉 This could have caused machine downtime.
👉 Worse — the fire suppression system may have disabled itself when needed most.

This fault now requires:
✔ Harness repair
✔ Mounting repair
✔ Correct securing to manufacturer spec

Most people don’t realise — a proper heavy machinery inspection takes around 4 hours and follows strict manufacturer checklists designed to prevent failures before they happen.

Attended the job to find an Air con system last checked in 1992, with R12. After an inspection and pressure testing i Retro fitted system to the latest compliant R134a. Let just say no more cruising with the windows down.
