So I know price wise the LDV is an attractive option.
Here’s the thing…….
We had an LDV in this week that needed a thermostat but nothing available in Australia.
Same with one that needed a water pump.
So is the savings in the purchase price worth the unavailability of basic parts?

Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you need to do what’s best for the customer and not follow dealership procedure.

We had a Ford Mondeo with a failed fuel pump and a burnt out fuse holder.

Replacing the fuse holder which is an entire body control module and coding was out of their budget.
So what would you do?

I would rather replace the fuel pump and repair the body module by fitting an external fuse for the fuel pump that’s what.

Some people might say it’s not the correct way to do things buts it’s a result for the customer and perfectly safe.

Every job is different and customer communication is key to getting a good result for everyone.
