About the business and the role
Aquasports Marine is Perth’s Largest Marine Dealership, conveniently located on Bannister Road in Canning Vale. Our dealership includes some of Australia’s best brands; Quintrex Boats, Bar Crusher Boats, Mercury Marine and Yamaha Outboard Sales, Service and Parts.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic person to join our team in the position of Boating Accessories & Chandlery Manager.
The role primarily involves greeting customers, answering calls, sales for retail and trade customers, and making sure stock is replenished. As Boating Accessories and Chandlery Manager you will be required to work to performance targets including the requirement to sell boating-related products as well as perform administrative tasks associated with, for example, ordering parts, costing, and invoicing. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or have adequate marine knowledge in order to perform the role.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The Accessories and Chandlery Manager is responsible for providing high quality customer service in order to maximise customer satisfaction and promote the business.
Main tasks:
• Managing the entirety of the Boating Accessories and Chandlery Department
• Customer Service; greeting customers and assisting with retail inquiries
• Answering phones; responding or directing calls as required
• Maintaining presentation of the shop, Pricing and Displays
• Store Recovery and Replenishment of Stock, Ordering and Merchandising
• Supplying Trade Customers with Parts
• Invoicing and Administrative Work
• Communicating with Suppliers and Brand Representatives
• Electronics Sales and Supply
• Communicating with the Workshop and Sales Team for Service Jobs and New Boat Fit-Ups
• Work hours Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm plus every second Saturday 8am to 12pm
Skills and experience
To successfully fill this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
• A commitment to excellence in a retail provision.
• Sound computer skills
• Demonstrate the ability to work individually and as part of a team
