what have we been up to this week. Bit more work on the Honda. Still waiting on chrome plating from Bali. Some "Quicksilver" on the EH subframe. Few more bits on the carb and engine bay of the EJ and then getting the EJ front guards painted. And then another Series 1 Landrover harness. It never stops

More challenges this week with the EJ resto. Hanging exhaust was fun......not. But its in and was a perfect fit. Just getting everything to align and making brackets to suit. Battery bracket was missing so made a new one. Made up new battery cables and fitted the battery. Then trying to save the old sound deadening board

A few days this week polishing all the trim, assembling the front clip and then aligning about 20 holes that hold the thing to the front of the car without damaging my beautiful spray job. Then helicoiling all the damaged threads that hold clutch inspection plate on and fitting the gearbox brace. Its looking good

I have no idea what these Honda petrol tanks were painted with in 1973, but bugga the paint is hard to get off. Paint stripper wasn't a great succes, my caustic soda bath didn't work and bead blasting was a very slow job, But got there in the end. It was a lot easier to get off the side panels for some reason
