Version 6 STi - Modernization Project
This incredible example of a V6 STi has only 35,000kms - and was sent to MRT straight from the dealership floor for a full build. Stroker motor, turbo upgrade, Motec M48 ECU package and the holy grail of early 2000s tuning, NOS, one of the big ones.
The car had sat idle for many many years and was in desperate need of a refresh. We upgraded the turbo to a new 1.5G2R, ripped out the old motec and wiring and installed a brand new G4X with flex fuel. We removed the old leaking shocks and replaced them with a set of Road and Track coilovers. The car received a new set of headers as the old one had cracked. Clutches provided us with an upgraded single plate to handle the extra torque.
On top of the performance modifications, we had the fuel tank removed, and cleaned, and installed new fuel pumps and Injector Dynamics Injectors. The brakes had a full overhaul with new seals and a fresh paintjob in blue mica to match the vehicle. The car also presented with a period correct set of Work meister s2r from the early 2000s - these came off and were fully refurbished.
Once the restoration was complete, the car went on our mainline prohub dyno and pumped out a whopping 405hp at all 4 hubs and 530nm of torque. Finishing things off were the team at who brought it back to showroom spec.
