If you are considering upgrading be aware that most caravan battery chargers and solar controllers are not compatible for lithium so you may need to upgrade them too!
Some say it is not necessary to do this as they have inbuilt controllers to regulate this.
However from my experience and testing I have found this not to be the case.
Yes non lithium battery charger will charge them but not fully only 80-90 percent so you may as well just kept with the old agms. There are alot of factors involved in changing your van from AGM to lithium
So do your research before purchasing
I only use quality components and have tested my own van for the past 12 months so I know the combination of components and batteries that work.

Here are some photos of recent damage from water entry into a van. This highlights the importance of having your caravan inspected regularly.
Sealant deteriorates over time
when exposed to the elements. The van shown here is only 4 years old.
If your van is left out in the open, in direct sun, it is important you check the condition of seals and sealant at least once a year.
It can be an expensive repair if it goes unnoticed. It is not usually claimable on insurance as they class it as a maintenance item, wear and tear.

The first two photos show the result from taking an off road camper trailer, off road. Sticks and rocks get caught and damage the brake wiring.
If you are planning to do this, it is best to get wiring to the brake system secured and protected, including soldering all connections. Many camper trailers and caravans have wire connectors that come apart easily when they get caught.
It’s always good practice to check underneath when you’ve been off road, to make sure nothing has become stuck or hosing and/or wiring has been dislodged.
