Supermega Car. Supermega is a WRC tribute car which started life as a 2005 WRX STI, built by my mates and I. There are no rules other than to have fun.

Trying to find the squeak in the gravel car.

Turns out it wasn’t rocks stuck in the brakes but very low brake pads on the inside. Outside pads still ok though.
Glad I checked!

Such an awesome event down in Collie for the 2026 LandSurveys Experts Cup.
Possibly the funnest gravel event ever for my wife and I.
While I’ll admit I do wish we were faster and further up in the field, I can confirm it was just brilliant being out in the dirt again.
The stage conditions were perfect. Damp enough for no dust, but no mud.
Cool temps to keep me and the car happy.
No rain either. Just fantastic.
Looking forward to the next one already.

Scrutiny passed last night.
We're excited for this weekend's racing down in Collie for Experts Cup.
RallyWA.com have organised a few laps around the CollieMotorplex as part of the stages, so will be fun hooning around there.

Today I finally got Supermega engine apart. The head gasket had failed unfortunately due to the heat of the previous thermostat fail.
But at least we know the issue.
Good news is that short motor is fine. So will just bolt up these fancy CREST CNC heads and be on my way!
Sadly not quite that simple.
Will need more parts and a new exhaust fabricating but onwards and upwards!
Shoutout to The Engine Shop for the use of their facilities, time and efforts.

I collected the whole set! Thanks to Defined Motorsports for supplying them. So friggen cool.
