๐จ What's hiding inside your engine? ๐จ
This Nissan Navara came in for a routine service, but when we drained the oil, we noticed something wasn't right... heavy sludge.
After recommending further inspection, we removed the sump and found large chunks of sludge restricting oil flow. We then removed the rocker cover to inspect the top end and cleaned out as much sludge as possible.
The customer will be returning in 1,000km for another oil and filter change to continue flushing the engine and give it the best chance of a long life.
Engine sludge can be caused by a number of factors, including extended service intervals or using incorrect or poor-quality engine oil. Regular servicing with the correct oil is one of the best ways to prevent this kind of build-up.
This is why we don't just change your oilโwe inspect your vehicle thoroughly and let you know if we find anything that could become a much bigger problem down the track.
