Night 1 Recap – Round 6 roadline civil west Coast Series / Round 11 opal finance Track Championship
Car 21 kicked the night off starting P5 in Heat 1 and brought it home in P5. We had a slight setup issue, so we made some changes heading into Heat 2. Starting P6, we managed to move forward to P5, but still weren’t fully happy with the car.
For the mid-pack race, we rolled off from P6 and finished P6 again. We kept chipping away at the setup, making more adjustments before the feature.
Starting out of P12 in the feature, we had some great battles on track and pushed our way up to finish P7. Overall, we made solid progress with the car and are feeling more confident heading into Night 2 (Round 7 roadline civil West Coast Series / Round 12 opal finance Track Championship). Looking for a more consistent run.
Car 21 also played the joker for this round, and it paid off with a strong points haul. That result should lock us into a top 10 finish in the series — which was the goal at the start of the year, even after missing a round.
Car 32 started strong in Heat 1 from P3, but unfortunately suffered motor issues early and ended up covering the car in oil. After checking everything over, we made the call to park it for the night and the rest of the season. It’s been a big learning curve, and we’ve gained some valuable experience and track time. We’ll be back next season with some upgrades and ready to go again.
Big thanks to all our sponsors for their continued support 👊
