Hi everyone, it's been a long time coming, but things are progressing well, Julie my wife, who I must give credit too, for knowing the frustrating time I've been thru in the last 10mths, (Yep we've been in Brisbane 10mths) trying so hard to get The Wheel Thing happening, Julie's supported me 100%..gotta love her..Anyhow still a few little bugs to sort out but all in all, it's working, the small booth works a treat, have finished my 1st 2 wheels ready to pack up and send to S.A, full resto 1xp, 1xm..i have up graded all hardware, rechromed rings with fresh blackouts, I have wheels booked in till new yrs, want be taking anymore till 2027..I'll try harder to have some posts up in the close future.

Hi peoples, hope everyone is well, Glad to finally say that after a few dramas and a few set backs, I've managed get back on my feet and move forward..Pleased to say The Wheel Thing is up and running again..Yey, I've only built a 10mtr x 6mtr workshop, but being organised I can confidently say that it will be adequate, still a few bugs to sort out and build a lean too at the back of the shed to house the sand blaster..Enjoy the pics, Cheers Tom

Hi guy's as you know I have moved to Qld and have had a few set backs, buying a house and family commitments etc, but I can say now that it's all possitive and we are moving forward, slab has just gone down for my backyard workshop 10mtrs x 6mtrs, I'm sure their never big enough, but if I utilise it properly it will be fine..iwas hoping it would be built and up and running by now, but shire approval has dragged its feet as per usual..so a few more months and we will be back into it..Better late than Never, cheers Everyone

Hi Guys, well we have been in Brisbane for 3 weeks and what an eventful time its been.. Great catching up with family but have had a few set backs, 1st off all after unloading the sea container with the majority of the goods relating to the wheel thing, stored them all into my garage which i had planned to convert into my workshop and establish the wheel thing out of it including some extensions in the future, the 1st week we had a massive down pour and my garage flooded out and damaged quite a few things relating to the wheel thing, plus personal items, that was very sad and annoying, this house i bought 4yrs ago with plans to live in it when we retire in qld. Then last week we had the worst hail storm ive seen, massive hail, i got damage to my falcon ute that i just resprayed a few weeks before it left perth, we also had a hire car which got damaged, what a welcome to QLD..However it has to get better and we will get over it and move forward. We have decided that the house we bought in the suburb of Birkdale, the area named Bayside is a great area, but we don't like the house, So sold it and we are in the process of looking for another house, may not be able to buy exactly what i need, maybe no shed etc, meaning i will have to get one built, so we will just keep looking..This unfortunately means The Wheel Thing want be up and running for a while yet, ive decided its better to leave it all until i can set it up 100% rather than randomly throwing things together and cutting corners which would end up bastardizing the quality of my work, i hope every body understands and once again i will keep you posted on my updates, cheers Tom.

Hi guy's. As most of the people that have been following The Wheel Thing, may recall that I have mentioned that I will be locating to Brisbane towards the end of this year. Now the time has sprung upon me and has left me with a sense of sadness and joy, but mostly spending time with family in qld. My daughter has been living there for 20years and is expecting her 2nd child early Augt, therefore I will have to cease my workload whilst I tackle the massive move and set myself up, not sure how long I will be out of action but have great plans in place. Also since I will be fully retired in 4 wks from my 9-5 job I will be able to spend much more time restoring my wheels..I would like to thank everyone that has supported me by trusting my workmanship and professionalism. A big shout out to good friend Vince from Pro Paint WA in Bayswater for letting me use his panel shop and baking oven every Saturday, I will surely miss it. Big thanks to Tony at Superoo Falcon Spares in Byford for letting me display an xl ford steering wheel restored and painted in red candy along with 2 xm, xp dashes. In the meantime if your in a hurry for your wheel to be restored and can't wait for me..you can contact Craig from Classic Wheel Works, he also does awesome work...Thanks everyone and I will keep you posted as I get closer to reopening The Wheel Thing
