This week's wrap up of some of the bigger jobs done.

Including a fresh roof mounted light bar installation on a Isuzu Dmax, add in super clean snorkel kit installation on a holden colorado.
We also had a fg Ford falcon in with a failed transmission for repairs.
We made some much needed vehicle maintenance repairs on a Subaru and added some very nice upgrades at the same time.

We also carried out pre- purchase inspections on a few different vehicles and completed vehicle diagnostics on a 1993 Ford Capri and a pre roadworthy inspection and quote on a Toyota kluger for further repairs.

It was a big week over here at Eagle Eye Automotive but nothing we can't handle.

Emergency callout on Sunday morning replacement starter motor was needed in this Toyota Camry at Penrith.
Once replaced it started up like a new car, many more years of motoring for this happy customer.

This is what happens when a cabin filter gets left too long… 👇

Top = new
Bottom = what came out of the car

That old filter restricts airflow and pushes dust and debris through your vents every time you turn the fan on.

You might notice:
• Weak air flow
• Bad smells
• More dust inside the car

Simple fix—but often overlooked.

1 week on from participating in the 25km walk for charity the same day as my birthday, with my brother Adam Flier and his father in-law Bruce 73 year old legend.
Feeling very accomplished by completing the journey. I was very sore with blisters on my feet afterwards, but looking back and thinking about the day, I would do it again it's a great cause to support.
Who knows I might join the Sydney spoke to a bloke walk 2027 next year.
Walking over the harbour bridge would be iconic.
Well done to all the blokes that completed the challenge.

Tested well and issue corrected.
Happy owner can get back to work with the van repaired.

Here's another perfect example of why paying for a pre-purchase inspection is the best money you can spend. A customer brought in a 2010 Mazda 3 they wanted to buy, claiming it had no modifications. After checking it, I gave them a long list of issues, including a check engine light and several other problems. I told them not to buy the car, but of course they went ahead and bought it anyway. I'll never understand why people ask for an inspection and for our opinion if they're just going to ignore it.

A week later the car comes back with a work order that says "inspect why the check engine light isn't illuminated." The moment I read that, I already knew what happened. And yes, I was right: the used car dealer "fixed" it by literally removing the check engine LED from the cluster. I put everything back together and sent the car on its way. I didn't bother checking the rest of the issues, but I'm willing to bet they were "repaired" with nothing more than black paint.
