TRENT WILSON RACING – RACE NIGHT RECAP 🏁

What a night at the track for the team, with Chris Greaves, Shannon Overton and Trent Wilson all putting in a great effort and showing plenty of speed! 💨🔥

🏎️ Chris Greaves

Chris kicked off the night with a strong 2nd-place finish in his first heat, followed by 3rd in his second heat. Unfortunately, his third heat ended in a DNF, but he bounced back when it mattered, qualifying 5th through the Top 6 Pole Shuffle Shootout.

Chris put in a great drive in the feature to bring home 5th place! 👏

🏎️ Shannon Overton

It was a special night for Shannon, making his first-ever run in the Divi 2 Hot Rods! Naturally, there were a few nerves heading into his first race in the car, but the team had every confidence in him.

Shannon has great support behind him, especially from his dad, Steve Overton, who has been there to guide him, show him the ropes and help him learn what it takes. Having a good mentor and leader in your corner makes a massive difference, and Shannon showed great determination throughout the night.

Shannon finished 4th in his first heat, followed by two 6th-place finishes. Starting 11th in the feature, he put in a solid drive to cross the line in 6th place! A fantastic effort for his first night in the class, and plenty to build on from here! 💪🔥

🏎️ Trent Wilson

Trent was on fire all night, finishing 2nd in his first heat before taking back-to-back heat wins in his second and third! 🔥

Trent then backed it up in the Top 6 Pole Shuffle Shootout to secure pole position for the feature.

Starting from the front, Trent delivered when it counted, putting together a great drive to take home THE FEATURE WIN! 🏆🥇

🏆 FINAL RESULTS
🥇 Trent Wilson – 1st
🏁 Chris Greaves – 5th
🏁 Shannon Overton – 6th

A massive effort from all three drivers, with everyone showing great pace, determination and teamwork throughout the night.

A special mention to Shannon on his first night in the Divi 2 Hot Rods, and to Steve Overton for the guidance and support he provides. It’s great to see new drivers learning, building confidence and having the right people behind them.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, crew, families and supporters who make it all possible. We appreciate every bit of support and couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

One team. Three drivers. One feature winner! 🏁💨

Bring on the next one!

SERIES ROUND ONE

The working group behind the Divi 2 Hot Rod Series would like to remind everybody that racing begins in the series for round one this Saturday at Bairnsdale Speedway.

We are excited!

Some news is that Trent Wilson Racing Fabrications and Suspension has committed as a supporter to the series. We all know Trent has worked and continues to work on many of our cars especially up in East Gippsland, please continue to support Trent and his business, in a effort to thank him for supporting our racing. You can find Trent here Trent Wilson Racing.

Trent has also managed to reach out to and seek the support of Paul Walkinshaw and Michelle George at Visual Signage Solutions. VSS presents some of the most spectacular looking race cars with their signage work, however that is not all they do. They make trophies and awards, they make some merchandise , they do race car wraps, and business signage of various levels and has done so for many years. VSS are going to work with us to bring some professional level to our racing in the way of our presentation. You can find Visual Signage Solutions here.

Aaron, Kate and Trent are still working through some actions in regards to banking, and memberships for the series.

Could we also ask, that if you are financial enough through business, or you have somebody you know, keen to get involved with a sporting series that will be in South Gippsland, West Gippsland, Central Gippsland and East Gippsland this season, which may help share their business name around and bring business to them, to reach out to us and have a chat.
