🎣 Snapper season is here and so is a better boat ramp at Mornington’s Schnapper Point!

The upgraded Schnapper Point facility now includes:

➡️ A refreshed and widened 30-metre, dual-lane boat ramp, featuring a herringbone textured surface to maximize wheel traction for vehicles and boat trailers, increasing launching capacity and ease of use
➡️ Two new jetties, with the 60-metre northern jetty and 52-metre southern jetty giving 14 boaters space to tie up
➡️ A newly-laid concrete manoeuvring area at the head of the ramp, making launching and retrieving vessels easier
➡️ An upgraded pedestrian shared area including vision impaired tactile indicators to make using the car park safer for boaters and pedestrians, and
➡️ A new fish cleaning table and solar light, improving the overall experience for boaters using the facility.

The boat ramp is open to boaters from 1pm on Monday, 5 October, so whether you’re chasing a feed of snapper, flathead, whiting, or squid, or simply a day out in Port Phillip, now is the time to get out there!
