๐Ÿ”ง Wheel Bearing Failure โ€“ Donโ€™t Ignore the Signs!

This vehicle came into Medlyns Auto Service for a routine service, but during the checkover Jesse discovered a failed wheel bearing with some serious movement in the wheel. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

We replaced the faulty wheel hub assembly, getting everything back to where it should be. ๐Ÿ”งโœ…

A worn wheel bearing can cause:
๐Ÿ”ง Excessive wheel movement
๐Ÿ”ง Humming or grinding noises
๐Ÿ”ง Uneven tyre wear
๐Ÿ”ง Vibration while driving
๐Ÿ”ง And in severe cases, become a serious safety issue

This one was caught before it became a bigger problem. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

One of the latest jobs through the workshop

Jordan, Jesse & Jake putting the gearbox back into this Ford F-250 after replacing the rear main seal.

A rear main seal sits at the back of the engine and helps keep engine oil contained around the crankshaft. Replacing one is a big job, requiring removal of the transmission and torque converter/flywheel to access the seal properly. Care needs to be taken removing the old seal, preparing the surface and fitting the new seal evenly to avoid future leaks.

A good bit of teamwork getting this one back together ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ’ช
