This weekend we went with the EVIL GQ to Sydney jamboree after our recent changes and a new car setup to combat the wheelie this car loved doing!! Safe to say with the big man Quickbitz on the tuneup/power managment, and the new car setup we’re working well together trying to send a brick down the race track!! Result!? A 7.98@177mph with a lazy 1.39 60ft for the 3800+lb patrol, with the car working well enough to start feeding some proper power into it, unfortunately an engine failure stopped us for now!! Undoubtedly, the patrol will be back soon to chase after it.. keen to see how fast we can make this red fridge go down the race track!

This weekend we headed over to the Bend Motorsport park with Matt and his FSTHDT Vl for its first time at the track, over the last little bit we had finished some stuff of to get it ready to race and the time came!!

First pass being purely a sighting pass to see what the car wanted, some very very slight suspension tweaking, we went back out for pass number 2, this time running it to half track and pulling the chutes to make sure that system worked as it should, Matt saying he felt very comfortable in the car,
We decided to send it out the back door on the 3rd ever pass in the car and it went an effortless 7.84@183.

4th pass after the boss on the keyboard gave us some more power, the car reeled off a 7.65@173, obviously down on mph the converter was a bit slippery and had hit a safety at 7.1 into the pass, but managing an effortless 1.23 60ft and 4.95@145 to the 1/8th

Massive thanks to Jeff Johnson for making my job easy on the power management/tune up

Matt for diving the car like he’s done 40 passes in it, even if the spirit fingers likes red buttons, all the rehearsing paid off 🤪

And Matt’s crew all worked well to make the cars performance seem effortless and everyone working together made for a super smooth and successful debut!

The car still being on e85, and not even on 30psi yet, we are looking forward to how this will progress with the methanol tune up and all the boost in it.

We had the Evilgq patrol back in for some updates, Junjo wanted us to supply and install a Racetech 119 seat, meaning we needed to cut out and re do the funny car cage, fabbed up a new throttle pedal and throttle stop, and changed the parachutes over to a co2 launcher system and plumbed it in, gave the car a re setup to see if we can get it to leave a bit better without the aggressive power wheelie
