Kenda BRAGGIIN RIGHTS Kenda Tires 660 Drag Radial Series wrap up.....

After 5 weeks in the shop getting completely wired up and helping in anyway we could to get our personal friend Daniel Swanney from Promodz fabrication to complete his dream Gemini drag radial car build, Dan's meticulously prepared Gemini performed faultlessly run after run in the 4 second zone in the Outlaw 235 class on its first ever race meet with a PB of 4.58@158 during racing rounds on Saturday.

Recently undertaking hub dyno tuning on Geoff Campbell-Brown and Karah Campbell-Brown Rowdy Race Industries Moonshine Chevelle, it was great to see the new combo hit the track, after a few challenges with the cars new engine combination through testing and race day, it was great to see Geoff and our house tuner Micheal get together and lay down the teams first 3 second pass 3.95 along with a new team PB [email protected] 💥 on the Sunday's IDRP - Independent Drag Racing Promotions private test day.

The consistent quest of improvement on the 28/9 tyre from Shane Crichton Kyle Hopf Micheal Ahern and team 1jz747 Racing made the Kenda event another valuable race to continue fine tuning the 6boost prepared 1JZ/2JZ Cressida combination, with consistent PB's to the 1/8th mile and plenty of valuable data collected on Saturdays race, the team was able to real of a new 1/4mile PB of [email protected] 💥 (yes early shut off aswell 😬) and multiple 7.0 pass's were put together on Sundays IDRP - Independent Drag Racing Promotions private test day, one that's now really got the team motivated to hunt down that 6 second team goal !

A big final shout out and congratulations to Wade Wagstaff and his team in "The Grinch" for once again showing the teams perfection in taking the win 🏆🥇🏁in Outlaw 315, well done guys !

Long time customer Michael 's genuine VL Turbo Calais VLT10 has been around for a while now and after reeling of a bunch 8 second passes over the years the bug began to bite for the quest to bust out the goal of a 7 second time slip !

Plans where made to knock out one of our extreme style cast sohc cylinder head 3.2 engines using our own custom crankshaft/conrod/piston package and a Bullet Race Engineering billet block.

Upgrades also included a brand new Precision Turbo & Engine Next Gen 8685 turbocharger, plazmaman.com race intercooler and new in house fabricated custom aluminium piping, Waterman Racing Components cable driven mechanical fuel pump along with new BMRS LLC plumbing through out.

The upgrades netted the planned expectations of 1400hp with a final result on the dyno of 1440hp at the hubs on E98 fuel.

On debut back to the race track the new combination immediately produced multiple back to back 7 second passes and a PB of 7.69@178 to get the job done 🤝

Thank you Michael, we look forward to turning VLT10 up in 2026 !

Adelaide Jamboree 2025 wrap up !

The trip south was well worth it, great weather and a fantastic weekend racing at Dragway at The Bend.

Our long time customer Peter was able to reel in the win 🏆 in Modified 10.5 class in KNG 30 and to top it off ran a new PB of 8.23@167pmh in the final race, well done Pete 👏

Big thanks to Rob and Kris Velkovski for there crew assistance aswell as Shaun "VL HELL" and the whole team for there hospitality !

Petes KNG 30 Berlina runs a early version of our JW2 (hydraulic camahaft) engine packages MoTeC M130 efi system, plazmaman.com intake manifold and race intercooler, a Garrett - Advancing Motion G42-1450 turbocharger mounted to a 6boost T4 style exhaust manifold.

Brisbane Jamboree 2025 wrap up !

What a fantastic weekend it was, firstly a huge thank you to Collin, Kelly, all of the Jamboree team and Willowbank Raceway | Drag Racing's Finest for putting on a amazing event !

Our JW team had their hands full supporting 4 cars on track with positive results produced from every direction, highlights were -

Michael 's VLT10 Calais - the boys came all the way from Cairns North Queensland armed with a brand new single cam RB30 engine package, after qualifying with a PB run of 7.69@172mph pass, went on to win all 3 rounds and take the win 🏆 in the Modified 10.5 class, well done boys what an incredible result 👏

Troy 's SCREAMA Berlina - another very new single cam RB30 combination that certainly shined being mr consistency during rounds with multiple low 8 second passes, PB et run of [email protected] and a PB mph run of [email protected] making one of the fastest/quickest hydraulic cammed single cam VLs on the land 💪

Jason 's SLO32 R32 skyline - we had some big plans to test Wednesday but mother nature had her way, never the less the team worked hard with a few planned improvements which achieved top qualifier in the traditional Pro Turbo class, racing rounds netted improved consistency with multiple 6.5 second passes and some solid data to move onto the next event 🏁

Shane 's 1JZ747 Cressida is a new project for the team, with recent dynotuning data to work from results where super positive on track with all short track area PBs and a overall 1/8th mile PB of 4.67@151mph, well done to Shane and crew chief Kyle Hopf 🙌

Lisa's MISSVL - a recent completion of a full mechanical restoration after 18 years in storage it was great to see Lisa out enjoying her genuine series 2 Calais Turbo and showing such a rare time capsule in the show and shine 💎

A massive thanks to our amazing team and all our supporters that came along over the busy weekend - we couldn't have done it with out you !

Troy 's VL turbo Berlina SCREAMA was a exciting full build completed and commissioned earlier this year.

Consisting of one of our lastest version JW2 sohc hydraulic cnc cylinder head 3 litre engines.

Power comes from a Garrett - Advancing Motion G45-1500 turbocharger and 6boost Pro Mod style exhaust manifold.

A MoTeC M150 ecu controls the custom efi package, which also includes a MoTeC C125 dash with billet column mount, MoTeC PDM15 power distribution module and complete motorsport wiring integration undertaken in house.

With this type of package producing upwards of 1000hp at the hubs historically it was positive to see the development revisions make gains with a final power figure of 1100+hp on pump E85 and mid 40 pounds of boost.

Thank you Troy for trusting us to put together the VL of your dreams, time to get to the track for Jamboree next week and turn it up !

A late report on the recent Holden Drag Nationals event held at Heathcote Park Raceway that was attended by a couple of our VL Turbo customers Troy in "SCREAMA" and Pete in "KNG30".

Results where positive all around with Troy debuting his brand new just completed "SCREAMA" Berlina for the first time and able to reel off a 8.7@160mph on its very first pass followed by a impressive 5.3 half track pass confirming a very low 8 second pass certainly isn't too far away !

Pete in KNG30 was able to show that consistency really counts reeling in multiple mid 8 second passes, claiming top qualifier and also produced the quickest small tyre pass of the day in the class, unfortunately after 2 round wins the event time curfew beat us all.

All in all it was a great weekend catching up with all the Melbourne crew, some great barbeques and thanks to everyone that dropped to say hi !
